Goblin Mode by Blank & Uhyr

Street Art Oslo is proud to present an exhibition of works by Blank & Uhyr.
For the first exhibition of his studio works, Blank successfully captures the layered and textured surfaces he’s accustomed to painting on the street; perhaps most evident in ‘Five Words’ but also ‘Cloud Three’, where out of focus highlights evoke rain-drenched neon lights.
These abstract works stand together with Uhyr’s distinctive characters, typically cropped, or crammed into their canvases. Numerous smaller works depict other elements of his visual universe: like digital metaverse tokens manifested into the real world.
Using airbrush and spray, each painting takes a short number of hours to complete – perhaps unsurprising for two artists more accustomed to working in minutes. It’s understandable then, why the final works for the show were painted less than 48 hours before the opening. After all, goblins are creatures of habit.
