Løkka-Lykke 2023 Finissage

H46 Project Space, Helgesens gate 46, 0553 Oslo

15 - 17 Sep 2023

EN: Welcome to the Løkka-Lykke finissage - a group exhibition of artworks made by this year's festival artists, crew, and volunteers.

A festival is an ecosystem and teamwork is crucial for us to be able to carry out a project of this scale and level of ambition. It is therefore a great pleasure for us to be able to show you how many talented and wonderful people there are who contribute to Løkka-Lykke. Some have been making art for a long time, while others are showing their work for the first time at this sales exhibition, which makes it possible to support both the artists and the festival directly.

For this year's Løkka-Lykke, Street Art Oslo has been working with the theme 'Kunst i mellomrom' or 'art in/between spaces', which is a term we have adopted to highlight several unique aspects of the art and culture field in which we work.

‘Kunst i mellomrom’ in this context refers both to a literal space in the city, and the gap between the established cultural industry and those outside. We also find it helpful in describing our approach to producing art in public space: how it intersects and overlaps with conventional and contested definitions of street art, graffiti and public art.

We are especially grateful to Øivin Horvei and Bella Fasmer who have produced a limited edition handmade zine on the occasion of the exhibition; and Nima Taheri for the short film ‘Kunst i mellomrom’ which aims to shed some light on the unique perspectives of the artists that we work with.

Participating artists:

Aidan Moseby, Ann-Kristin Olsen, Bella Fasmer, Caroline Borge, Ekg Labs, Egs, Hugo Strand, Håkon Rønneng, I.T. Hammar, Luna, Lyza Ryzha, Magnus Ruud, Matriarkatet, Muga, Mathilde Velvin, Nima Taheri, Ninaedigg, Placcyheadface, Snork One, Subvertising Norway and Øivin Horvei

Løkka-lykke gatekunstfest is an initiative from Løkka Gårdeierforening and Street Art Oslo, which springs from an idea to celebrate Grünerløkka's unique identity. Beyond the streets, the festival is a meeting place to promote and discuss non-institutional approaches to art in public space, and to inspire a shared sense of ownership over the visual realm in public space.
