EN: Street Art Oslo is proud to present the first exhibition in Norway by renowned graffiti artist Remio.
Born in Hvasser, Vestfold county, but moving abroad at the age of 10, Remio developed his art practice under the mentorship of Twist in SF and Os Gemeos in LA & Brazil. Considered one of the most consistent and innovative graffiti artists of his generation, Remio is best known for his idiosyncratic 'R' character, which appears in many guises throughout his work.
The title of his exhibition, Touchstone, refers to his hometown in Norway and the sense of groundedness he gets from visiting there, namely to see his 97 year-old Grandma who still lives on the island.
Born in Norway, raised in Canada and the United States, and currently residing in Paris, France – Remio is a renowned graffiti artist whose work can be seen all over the world, with its distinct anthropomorphic, angular and character-driven style. Recently, he has successfully traversed the worlds of graffiti and fine art by exhibiting in galleries in San Francisco, Paris, Venice, Tokyo, and now Norway.
